Job Description

Job Summary: The Inside Sales Representative will generate new business opportunities by using digital communication, phone calls and proven techniques to prospect into the marketing departments within the Biotech & Pharmaceutical arena.  You will focus primarily on prospecting, identifying, qualifying, and developing new sales opportunities to create sales-ready leads and opportunities for the senior sales team, and tracking the info for the company.  In addition, you will partner with the senior sales team to respond to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and you will own and manage the Sales Force Database system used to track prospects and clients.



  • Leverage CRM tools to prospect into specific geographic territories and sectors
  • Partner with our experienced Sales Team to help build their pipeline
  • Map prospective accounts around organizational structure, people and existing solutions
  • Respond to and qualify incoming web, email and phone inquiries regarding Relevate Solutions
  • Maintain active engagement with new and existing leads through creative follow-up communications designed to increase interest in Relevate solutions
  • Achieve monthly quotas of sourced, qualified opportunities
  • Orchestrate discussions with senior execs around their business needs
  • Partner with the senior sales team to respond to Requests for Proposals (RFPs)

Database Manager

  • Owns Salesforce database system and makes sure that all prospect information is accurate
  • Searches for most current contact info and updates data when prospects/clients change jobs, on continuous basis
  • Reviews contact information channels to find new prospects
    • LinkedIn, Zoominfo and other channels are used to find everything from medication census info to new prospects
  • Acts with self-direction to research and find decision makers within targeted organizations
  • Assists in outbound communication logistics as well as follow ups
  • Provides follow-up for Relevate marketing and lead generation initiatives, such as trade shows (pre and post show calling), newsletters, email campaigns, letter campaigns, etc.
  • Creates, maintains and updates case studies

Sales Support

  • Calls and emails prospects as directed by the Sales and Lead Generation Teams
  • Helps to schedule initial discovery meetings (phone or face-to-face) between prospects and assigned Client Development Executives
  • Helps to manage the marketing budget and owns the marketing calendar
  • Supports the Sales Team by coordinating marketing materials in PPT and Excel
  • Supports the Sales Team by helping to manage outbound emails, social media, press releases, case studies, and leave behind collateral and sales decks
  • Performs industry research on topics pertinent to Relevate
  • Participates in marketing brainstorm sessions with CI, CD and Innovation leaders to determine what will help to build the business

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A commanding desire to learn and succeed
  • Digital campaign development, deployment, and measurement experience
  • A strong command of PPT and Excel
  • Prior inside sales experience a plus
  • Healthcare and/or B2B sales experience a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; the ability to write succinct, crisp emails and a great phone manner
  • Knowledge of any of the following industry sectors a plus: healthcare, multi-channel marketing, content marketing, design, advertising, digital and mobile marketing

  • Strong desire to be in healthcare sales
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Experience with opportunity qualification, objection handling, and call structure and control strategy
  • Experience outbound calling, building a pipeline, and qualifying/identifying leads
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • High energy and positive attitude
  • Ability to take initiative
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, metrics-oriented environment
